The city dazzled with the bevy of beauties who walked down the ramp to be part of auditions for the Miss India competition in Bhubaneswar.
The auditions held in the Empires hotel on Tuesday had 80 girls show their, beauty, poise and intelligence to be selected for the next round of the most popular all India beauty contest.
The girls gave their full effort to get the ticket to the glamour world. The fbb Femina Miss India, Bhubaneswar 2016 auditions compared the most beautiful girls in Odisha on the criteria of height, general knowledge and beauty. The list was first cut down from 80 participants to 22 and finally to 5 of the best .
In the final round, 5 girls made it to the next level and will be going to the Eastern zone of the competition. They are Pooja Mishra, Sribanika Sarangi, Sonika Roy, Taniya Sinha and Harshita Naidu.
The winners in the East Zone competition will get the opportunity to participate in the grand Miss India contest in April. Before this they will be trained by different specialists from various fields.
Ollywood actress Archita Sahoo, a judge in the contest said, “Odisha has talent. To find and hone these skills such contests are doing a yeoman’s job. In today’s contest the participants have been chosen keeping in mind various personality aspects.”
“This contest will be a great help to someone who wants to change their lifestyle, become a model or an actress”, the Miss India finalist added.
The first stage of the Miss India auditions is being held in various cities of India. While, the zonal levels will be held in Delhi, Bangalore and Kolkata. The final will be held in the glamour city of Mumbai.
