Cricket fever gripped Bhubaneswar and Cuttack as players of India and England cricket teams arrived in Odisha capital ahead of the One-Day International (ODI) match between the two sides at Barabati stadium in the millennium city tomorrow.

The two teams arrived at Biju Patnaik International Airport (BPIA) here in a special flight in the afternoon.

They were escorted amid tight security to the Mayfair Hotel in Bhubaneswar where they were welcomed in traditional style.

Thousands of cricket fans gathered near the airport and the hotel to have a glimpse of their favourite players.

Later in the day, the players reached Barabati stadium in Cuttack for practice session.

As many as 25 platoons of police force have been deployed in the capital city for the security of players, informed Bhubaneswar DCP Satyabrata Bhoi.
