The Odisha government has carried out a reshuffle in the senior bureaucracy.
1983 batch IAS Upendra Nath Behera is the new development commissioner while 1984 batch IAS R Balakrishnan is the new additional chief secretary, Finance.
While 1981 batch IAS Ashok Kumar Tripathy has been made the new member Board of Revenue, 1983 batch IAS Aditya Prasad Padhi will now function solely as additional chief secretary to the Chief Minister.
In addition to his new responsibility, Tripathy will also handle the administration of Gopabandhu Academy of Administration.
1985 batch IAS Gagan Kumar Dhal, principal secretary, Higher Education has been given additional charge as CMD of IPICOL.
As per the notificatio issued today, 1997 batch IAS Sanjeeb Kumar Mishra has been appointed as the new special resident commissioner while 1997 batch IAS Pramod Kumar Meherda has been given additional charge of RDC southern division. Meherda is currently holding the post of RDC northern division.
