Anandpur: Water level of Baitarani river crossed danger mark here today inundating several villages in Odisha’s Keonjhar district.
Till last reports, water was flowing at 39.12 metres surpassing the danger mark of 38.44 metres.
As a result, around ten villages of Ayatpur and Sankarpur gram panchayats were marooned, reports said.
Besides, flood water was seen flowing over Suanpada-Balibaruan road near Shankarpur in Ghasipura block of the district.
Similarly, water level of Subarnarekha river crossed danger mark of 10.36 metres at Rajghat in Balasore district flowing at 10.51 metres.
Flood waters have entered into ten villages of Baliapal triggering panic among the resident of low-lying areas.
