The Odisha High Court Bar Association today decided to go on a two-day cease work beginning today to express their solidarity and strongly protest against the brutal attack on a lawyer of the Bhubaneswar Bar Association by policemen. The decision was taken at a general body meeting of the Association.
Talking to reporters after the meeting, an office bearer of the High Court bar Association told reporters here; “We strongly protest against such brutal attack on the lawyer in Bhubaneswar. We fully support the Bhubaneswar lawyers in their agitation against police brutality on a fellow lawyer. We will be writing to the DGP to take stern action against the erring policemen. We have decided in our general body meeting held today afternoon to go on a two day cease work beginning today”.
He said lawyers of Odisha High Court will not attend court today and tomorrow.
