Bhubaneswar, Nov 1:

Reacting over the incident of Begunia MLA Prasanta Jagadev allegedly assaulting Bolagarh Tehsildar Niharika Nayak, the Odisha Administrative Service (OAS) Association today decided to demand disciplinary action in the matter.

“The incident is condemnable if its true. Such behaviour is immatured on the part of a people’s representative. We will demand disciplinary action in the matter from the state government. If needed, we will meet the Chief Minister and Home Secretary. Our next course of action will be decided after the report of ADM,” said OAS Association President Saroj Samal.

Notably, Jagadev allegedly assaulted Nayak last evening over an issue of eviction of an encroachment at Ekadalua village in Bolagarh Tehsil in Khordha district.
