Airport security authorities today seized gold weighing around three kilograms from a passenger at Biju Patnaik International Airport (BPIA) in Odisha capital.


According to reports, the personnel of Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) detected the presence of gold from the luggage of a passenger identified as Bhimraj Dewasi.

The passenger is said to be a Mumbai-based gold trader and had taken the flight to the capital city in connection with business deals.

The officials handed over the seized gold worth around Rs 90 lakh to Income Tax department officials.
