Hudreds of students in Odisha heaved a sigh of relief after the state government on Wednesday decided to extend the last date for receipt of online application for admission into various teacher training courses from May 7 to June 5.
The entrance examination for DLEd (CT), BEd. BHEd, MEd and MPhil for the 2015-17 session, originally scheduled for May 26, now stands postponed to June 21.
The state government has taken this decision as the results of examination conducted by various boards and universities in the state are yet to be published.
Notably, the Higher Education department had set the last date of online application by May 7 and had announced the date for the entrance test for admission in the teacher training courses on May 26.
The decision ws taken ata meeting held here under the chairmanship of School & Mass Education Minister Debi Prasad Mishra and attended by Higher Education Minister Dr Pradeep Panigrahi, Commissioner Higher Education Gagan Dhal, School & Mass Education Commissioner Usha Padhy and Director TE & SCERT, Odisha Dr AB Ota.
