Among those arrested are two brothers Panchanan Padhi and Siba Prasad Padhi from Gosani Nuagaon in Brahmapur, who were allegedly running the sex racket since last 6 months in the ground floor of the building.

Three other accused ‘customers’ have been identified as Dinesh Sharma, Safik Sekh (both from Bihar) and Saroj Kumar Patra who were caught red handed during the raid.

The owner of the house Hiralal Shah, who is also from Bihar, was also arrested for collaborating with the sex racket operators by offering them his house on rent. However, Shah pleaded not guilty and said he did not have any idea about what was going on in his house after it was rented out to the Padhi brothers.

“I had given a part of my house on rent to Siba Prasad Padhi 6 months ago but I did not know he was using it for flesh trade,” Shah told reporters.
