Bhubaneswar, July 29
Heavy to very heavy rainfall along with high velocity surface winds is likely lash Odisha in the next two days with the formation of a fresh low pressure area today over the north-east Bay of Bengal, said the Met centre here.
While rain and thundershower would occur at most places over the state, one or two places over north Odisha were likely to experience heavy to very heavy rainfall under its influence.
Heavy rainfall was also likely to take place at one or two places over south Odisha during the next 48 hours, the weather office said.
Wind speed reaching 45 to 55 kmph might prevail along and off the Odisha Coast, while the sea condition would be rough to very rough, it said advising fishermen not to venture into the sea.
