AMRI Hospital of Bhubaneswar organized ‘Cardiology Live 2015’, a live workshop followed by a seminar on heart disease treatment in Odisha Capital today to impart knowhow on treatment of complex heart diseases.
The programme, inaugurated and chaired by Dr D S Gambhir, an icon in the field of cardiology from New Delhi in the presence of Salil Mohanty, Vice President of AMRI Hospitals Bhubaneswar, showcased the interventional treatment of a complex heart disease performed by Dr Gambhir along with Dr Lingaraj Nath, Consultant Interventional Cardiologist and Dr Mahesh Agarwal, Consultant Interventional Cardiologist of the Hospital.
“The idea behind this program was to impart knowhow on the best technical and procedural skills to tackle complex cardiac problems so that these could be adopted while treating cardiac patients,” said Mohanty.
The discussion also emphasized on the new approaches and operative techniques for heart-attack diabetes and heart disease burden. Dr Satyanarayan Routray and Dr HN Mishra, senior cardiologist delivered lecture on newer medicines and treatment of coronary artery disease.
“Heart disease in Odisha is on a rapid rise and it has started affecting a very large section of economically useful population aged between 45-50 years. In this context, the Cardiology Live programme endeavors to initiate discourses on advanced treatment of coronary artery disease,” said Dr Lingaraj Nath.
