Cuttack, Sep 10:
After a two-day interrogation of Paresh Mohapatra, prime accused in the murder of lady teacher Alakananda Mishra, along with his associates, the city police on Monday raided the city-based St Xavier’s School and seized several documents.
The seized documents are related to Mohapatra and his former live-in partner Alakananda’s engagements in the school.
Mohapatra had allegedly killed Mishra on July 29 this year and disposed the body secretly in a city crematorium.
The police arrested Mohapatra along with nine of his associates last month after the brother of the deceased lodged a complaint a month after the murder.
Though Mohapatra has reportedly admitted that he had killed Mishra in a fit of rage over a personal dispute, the police is investigating the case to ascertain the real motive behind the killing.
Meanwhile, the two-day police remand of Mohapatra ended on Monday.
With the Cuttack SDJM rejecting the police plea last week for a brain mapping and psycho-analytical test of Mohapatra on the ground that he is indisposed, the latter has decided to move a higher court for permission to conduct the tests.
