On AIDS Day, Dhamra Port helps 50 HIV+ children

Photograph - Dhamra Port comes to the aid of Children living with HIV

On the occasion of World AIDS Day, Dhamra Port organised several awareness programmes in the peripheral areas of the port as well as at Bhadrak town. As many as 50 children of Bhadrak district living with HIV infection were provided with school bags, study materials, blankets and nutritional food by the company at a special programme organised by District Health Department and the AIDS Control Society at Bhadrak.

Bhadrak Collector Laxminarayan Mishra, Bhadrak MLA Jugal Kishore Pattnaik, Dhamra Port CSR Head Himansu Sekhar Sahoo, CDMO Dr. Harihar Das and District Programme Manager, AIDS Control Society Hemant Kumar Das were present on the occasion.

An AIDS awareness rally was taken out from the main gate of Dhamra Port and conducted among the fishing community, fishing trawler drivers, truck drivers and ice factory labourers in the port periphery Dosinga, Dhamra and Kaithkhola GPs.
