Following public agitation demanding stoppage of trains at Delang station in Khurda Road-Puri Railway Section and setting a bogey of 18416/18414 Puri-Barbil/Paradeep Express on fire, the East Coast Railway today cancelled and short terminated the services of some trains, and controlled some trains en route.
While three trains—58436/58435 Cuttack-Bhadrak-Cuttack passenger train from both directions, 58406/58405 Paradeep-Cuttack-Paradeep passenger from both directions, 18413 Paradeep-Puri Inter City Express—were cancelled today, 18416 Barbil-Puri Inter City Express from Puri was cancelled till tomorrow.
Apart from this, 18414/18416 Puri-Barbil-Paradeep Express has been short terminated at Delang and will remain cancelled between Delanga and Barbil/Paradeep.
Besides, trains which would be controlled en route for sometime are 58417 Puri-Cuttack Passenger at Sakhigopal, 18402 Okha-Puri Express at Bhusandpur & Khurda Road, 12837 Howrah-Puri Express at Delang, 58407 Khurda Road-Puri passenger at Motari, 22865 LTT-Puri Express at Khurda Road, 18426 Durg-Puri Express at Khurda Road, 12802 New Delhi-Puri Purusottam Express at Cuttack, 58421 Angul-Puri passenger at Retanga and 58413 Talcher-Puri passenger at Bhubaneswar, an ECoR release said today.
