Bhubaneswar, Nov 8:
Agents of the city based Suvsatya Group of Companies have lodged a complaint with Saheed Nagar police here on Friday accusing the Chairman-cum-Managing Director of the company Hemant Samantray for duping them of over Rs 7 crore.
Earlier a number of investors had lodged a complaint against Samantray with the same police station alleging that he had assaulted them for demanding payment of their pending dues amounting to Rs 6 crore.
The police have lodged a case (No. 364/13) but no steps have so far been taken in the matter.
According to reports, Samantray had set up the company at Saheed Nagar in 2011 and introduced several ponzi schemes promising double returns and high rate of interest for deposits under the schemes.
The company, sources alleged, has duped depositors from the city and neighboring districts of over Rs 15 crore.
The company had invested money in several sectors including real estate, sources said.
