A case has been registered and arrest warrant has been issued against Rama Naga under Parliament Street police station in New Delhi.

Rama Naga, a native of Jeypore in Koraput district, is absconding since last few days. Therefore, he could not be arrested, according police sources.

According to reports, a meeting protesting the hanging had been held in JNU by some students on the anniversary of hanging of terrorist Afzal Guru on February 9. Rama was allegedly a part of the group.

Police had pressed sedition charges after the RSS student front, ABVP members along with BJP MP Maheish Girri had filed a police complaint against the participants of the meeting and submitted video evidence in support of the incident which they called “anti-national”.
