The death toll in the accident involving kabadi players in Sundargarh district on September 19 has risen to 10 with one of those critically injured in the mishap succumbing to his injuries late on Saturday night.
The deceased, identified as Purna Chandra Naik (50) of Sendhapur village, breathed his last at the Ispat General Hospital (IGH) where he was under treatment since the ghastly accident.
At about 4.30 pm on September 19, a mini truck (OD-16-7141) carrying Kabadi players returning to Sendhapur village after playing a Kabadi tournament in Dhudigaon village had overturned while crossing Suarapalli square and fell off a bridge.
Eight persons had died the same day and 14 others were critically injured. Another critically injured person had died at the IGH early next morning
