Bhubaneswar, July 22:
The Odisha Finance department has directed treasure officers to accept the e-statement of General Provident Fund (GPF) from the government employees that will help them to draw their money without any hassles.
“The employees are downloading the annual statements from the website and the statements are signed by the empowered authorities. So, there is no problem in accepting it,” said a release of Finance department.
The release also informed that the Accountant General (AG) would not release any account slip for GPF further and the employees have to download the e-statement from the website of AG.
The employees can now find out their balances from http://agodisha.gov.in as on date and ensure correctness of facts and figures.
The online system also provides the facility for registration of mobile numbers through which the employees can get their monthly updates via SMS as soon as their subscription or withdrawal is posted by the AG office.
Any misplacement of GPF can be tracked instantly through this SMS system.
The online system has been developed by the National Informatics Centre (NIC), Odisha State Centre, Bhubaneswar with support from Principal Accountant General (A&E) Office, Bhubaneswar and NIC (HQ), New Delhi.
