AAP demands repolling in Ghasipura

The Odisha unit of Aam Admi Party (AAP) today urged the Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) to order re-polling in the entire Ghasipura Assembly constituency in Keonjhar district , alleging that the ruling party workers had engaged in rampant booth rigging across the contituency during the polling on April 17.AAP

They party also submitted a video clip with viusal evidence of rigging in a particular booth in the constituency.

“We are submitting the video recording of the brazen election rigging at one of the poll booths by the members of the ruling BJD. We were unable to record other booths as we were not equipped for the same. In the face of proven malpractice in the election, we demand re-polling in the entire constituency,” read a memorandum of the party submitted to the CEO.

It also demanded strong action against the presiding officers for the blatant violations of election rules and regulations in support of a particular candidate and also the immediate arrest of the persons involved in the act of rigging.
