86% of students clear CBSE Class XII examination in Odisha

About 86.25 percent of students in the Bhubaneswar region cleared the annual Class XII examinations, conducted by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), results of which were announced this morning.

However, the girls have outshone the boys in terms of pass percentage.
While 89.92 percent girls have cleared the examinations, the pass percentage of the boys is only 83.44.

Out of a total of 43,184 students (Boys- 24,459, Girls- 18,725) appeared the examinations, 37,246 have cleared the examination of which 20,408 are boys and 16,838 are girls.

Among the passed out students, 15,831 (36.66%) have secured over 75 per cent mark of which 7461 are girls and 8370 are boys.

The students can get their results by logging in to the CBSE website www.cbse.nic.in

Out of a total of 10,29,834 students who had appeared this year’s examination, 6,03,064 are boys and 4,26,810 are girls which is 9.32 percent more (9,42,035) than the number of students appeared last year.

Of the 43,184 students, 10,500 are from Odisha, 14,000 from Chhattisgarh and 18,000 from West Bengal had appeared the examination in the Bhubaneswar region.
