All 8 SIMI terrorists killed in encounter after Bhopal jailbreak

All eight Students Islamic Movement of India (SIMI) terrorists who had escaped from Bhopal Central Jail in the wee hours today were killed in an encounter with security forces on the outskirts of the city.
According to reports, the terrorists on the run were gunned down by the security personnel in Eintkhedi village on the outskirts of Bhopal.
While high alert was sounded in Madhya Pradesh and neighbouring states, the criminals have been killed barely 12 hours of their escape.
They have been identified as Sheikh Mujeeb alias Naved, Khalid Ahmed Muddaley, Abdul Majid, Aqueel, Md Shaleek alias Sallu, Zakir Hussain alias Sadiq, Sheikh Mehboob, Amjad alias Driver alias Pappu Seikh.
The SIMI operatives used bedspreads to scale the jail boundary in the dead of the night. The incident took place between 2 am and 3 am, police said.
The terrorists had slit the throat of a jail staff and injured another before jumping the jail.
