Retired Gujarat bureaucrat and former Union Agriculture secretary, Dr.P K Mishra has been appointed additional principal secretary to Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
The 65-year old Mishra, a 1972-batch IAS officer of Gujarat cadre, who hails from Odisha’s Sambalpur district, had worked as the principal secretary to Modi between 2001 and 2004 when he was chief minister Gujarat.
Mishra served as secretary in the Ministry of Agriculture between December 2006 and August 2008 .
He was appointed Chairman of Gujarat Electricity Regulatory Commission after his retirement in 2008 for a five-year term.
