About 44,500 students of Odisha have applied for Odisha Joint Entrance Examination (OJEE) test scheduled on May 10 this year.
The number of applicants this year is much more as compared to the last year, said OJEE chairman Tushar Nath here on Saturday.
He said 12,500 students have applied for admission in Pharmacy, Ayurvedic and Homoeopathic streams this year as compared to 7500 applicants for these streams last year.
For MBA, we have received 7700 applications as compared to 5700 last year, Nath said.
Besides, 18,000 students have applied for Lateral Entry for B. Tech while 3200 students have applied for Lateral Entry for MCA, he added.
The OJEE chairman also informed that the OJEE would conduct entrance test for M. Plan and M. Arch this year.
The examinations would be held in three sittings. The first sitting would be held from 9 AM to 12 PM, the second sitting from 12 PM to 1 PM and the third sitting from to 2.30 PM to 4.30 PM.
The students would be asked to download their admit cards from the OJEE website www.ojee.nic.in from April 20 onwards.
The results of the test would be announced in the first week of June.
“Counselling of the students, securing ranks in the OJEE test, would be held after the counselling of the students, who have qualified the JEE Mains test, is completed”, Nath said, adding that the second OJEE test, like the previous year, would be held this year as per schedule.
