Ex DGP gets ‘Prachi Prajna Samman’

Former DGP and State convener of the Indian National Trust for Art and Cultural Heritage (INTACH) Amiya Bhusan Tripathy was conferred the Prachi Prajna Samman for 2013 here on Sunday for his pioneering role in conservation of rare archaeological artefacts in the country, including the world famous Konark temple.

Tripathy received the award, instituted by the Bharatiya Itihas Sankalan Samiti (BISS), on the occasion of the coronation day of Gajapati king Kapilendra Dev. Three books – ‘Bharatiya Kalara Biswarupa’, ‘Sanskruti Matruka Saraswati’ and ‘Saraswati Nadi Ra Kahani’ were released on the occasion.
