Hyderabad-based energy company Dr Ramkrishna Prasad Power Private Limited is all set to set up a 120 MW thermal power plant (TPP) at Chhatrapur at a cost of about Rs 600 crore, according to company officials.
The plant will be set up on 90 acres of land, which has already been identified. Out of this, 38 acres belong to private land and the rest shall be provided by IDCO, for which a public hearing would be done on January 8, by the State Pollution Control Board (SPCB) with the district administration, sources revealed.
“The project is scheduled to be commissioned within 3 years from now and the company has already applied for getting necessary environmental clearance for setting up the plant,” Director Dr Naveen Venigala informed.
