At least 10 persons were injured, two of the critically, when the people of two villages clashed with each other in Krushnaprasad police limits in Odisha’s Puri district today.
While the two critically injured have been shifted to the MKCG Medical College & Hospital at BrahmPur eight others have been admitted to the Government Hospital at Krushnaprasad.
Hundreds of villagers belonging to Alanda and Patana, wielding sticks, sharp weapons, country made revolvers and bombs, clashed with each other over the rights to prawn gheries on the shores of Chilka lake, sources said.
The two villages have been at loggerheads with each other over the issue for quite some time, they added.
