At least 10 passengers were injured after a private bus hit a stationary tipper from behind near a temple in Odisha’s Angul town late on Friday night.
According to reports, Rajlaxmi, a private bus, was on its way to Raj Khariar in Nuapada district from Bhubaneswar on Friday night when the driver lost control of the speeding vehicle that hit a stationary sand-laden tipper near Sri Gundicha temple near Angul town.
Under the impact of the collision, the front portion of the bus was crushed injuring several passengers, who had fallen asleep when the incident took place.
Following information, police rushed to the spot and brought the injured passengers out after cutting a portion of the bus.
The injured passengers were later taken to the district headquarters hospital for treatment.
