Sambalpur, Jan 31:

In a shocking revelation made before the media, a woman has brought serious allegations against her husband accusing him of molesting his women employees in his office and lodges and then blackmailing them by using the video footage captured on hidden video cameras installed installed in the room by him.

Neha, second wife of Sukhvinder Singh Barcha, a Sambalpur-based businessman, lodged a complaint in this regard with the DG, Police on Thursday. She alleged that video clips of his sexual overtures, sent to various people by her husband, were doing the rounds in the town.

She alleged her husband, who had subjected her to physical and mental torture, has been threatening her with physical elimination ever since she confronted him over his obnoxious practice.

Neha also said she had seen with her own eyes how her husband planted spy cameras to record his sexual overtures with his women employees. The recorded footage is then used by him to blackmail his victims, she said.

Neha, who hails from Jamnagar in Gujarat, had married 20 years ago but split with her husband after 10 years due to serious differences with him. In 2003, she married Sukhvinder, son of a retired SAIL officer, in 2002 and has a son from him.

Sukhvinder was then with the Indian Army, but left his job in 2003 to start his own business in the mining sector, she added. After spending some time in Barbil in Keonjhar district, they shifted to here and stayed in a rented house in Bhalupali.

Neha ran an English medium school in the area while her husband worked a mining conractor apart form helping her out in running the school.

In 2011, Nehad had escaped while on a visit to Bhubaneswar and had reached her parents’ place in Jamnagar. She had lodged a complaint of dowry torture against her husband with Jamnagar police. Later, she also filed a complaint with the Mahila police station here. But the police did not act on her complaint on the ground of insufficient evidence.

On January 18, Nneha lodged another complaint against her husband at the police station and presented video clips of her husband’s sexual escapades. But the police have failed to act on her complaint so far on the grounds that the accused are absconding.

While pleading for strong action against her husband’s misdeeds Neha said she wanted the custody of her son.

In Bhubaneswar, social activist Rituparna Mohanty told reporters that she will approach the courts if the police failed to take immediate action against Neha’s husband.
