Bhubaneswar, July 31:
The three-month-long Project Readiness Programme (PRP) of the Wipro Technologies Ltd, conducted for the first time outside its own campus, concluded at the Institute of Technical Education and Research (ITER) in the Odisha capital on Friday.
Faculties from the company, who conducted the program, took the new recruits, almost entirely from ITER, through their paces using a variety of training programs and online tests to make them familiar with Wipro’s functioning and requirements.
The program had begun on March 16 last.
“ITER is the first institute which volunteered to help and enabled the training program to happen by making available its facilities. We are thankful to the SOA University authorities,” PB Kotur, General Manager (Talent Transformation) of the company, said.
He also felicitated the toppers of different groups during the training in the presence of Dean of ITER, Prof PK Sahu and Additional Dean Prof RK Hota who conducted the programme.
Viswanathan Venkatasubramanian, Wipro’s National Campus Manager, congratulated the new recruits while saying that the Wipro campus in Bhubaneswar was set to grow and expand within the next two years with the potential to generate more recruitment.
Moumita Mukherjee, Regional Campus Manager (East) of Wipro, was also present.
