Bhubaneswar, Feb 1:
Three accused, arrested by the Commissionerate Police in the murder of Surya Prasad Rao, AGM of Vizag Steel Plant whose body was found behind Sainik School area in the Odisha capital on January 5, were forwarded to the court today.
Police, during investigation, arrested the three accused— Jeevan, Sheikh Faju and Karuna from Rayagada, Bissam Katak and Kakinada of Andhra Pradesh.
The arrested, during interrogation, had revealed that they had helped Abid Khan, one of the prime accused in the case, to bring Rao from the Biju Patnaik International Airport on January 4.
After Rao arrived at the airport from Vishakhapatnam, the accused had kept him in a lodge at Patia and later killed him in the night after he failed to give ransom money demanded by them.
