For skill development of Odisha school students one government school in each 314 blocks of the state will provide vocational training, said school and mass education minister Devi Prasad Mishra.
In the first phase, in 2016-17 educational year the project will start in 284 blocks, where one school in the block will provide training to school students with skills in in IT and automobiles.
For this purpose, next month the state government will sign an MOU with the America based Wadhwani foundation, Devi Prasad Mishra said yesterday.
According to department sources, the training had started in around 30 schools in the state in 2015-16.
The Wadhwani foundation has come forward to provide free knowledge and technological know how in the state for the skill development project, Mishra said.
