Rourkela, October 31:
Vedvyas Sangeet Nrutytosav 2015, a national level classical, folk dance and music festival, is all set to begin from tomorrow at the Open Air Auditorium of Bhanja Bhavan in Odisha’s Rourkela.
Organized by cultural institution Bhanja Kala Kendra, the five day long mega dance & music carnival will witness performances by some of the best artistes of the country who have won accolades worldwide with their dazzling performances.
The programmes will start at 6.30 PM every evening with customary inaugurations. Union Minister of Tribal Affairs Jual Oram is scheduled to open the inaugural day.
The 18th edition of the festival includes Odishi dance by Guru Durga Charan Ranvir and his troupe, Kuchipudi dance by Guru Shreekant and his troupe, folk dance by artistes from Chhattisgarh, Hindustani vocal performance by Dr Meeta Pandit, Odissi Vocal by Dr Rama Hari Das etc.
It may be noted that Bhanja Kala Kendra organizes the festival every year with an aim to promote and propagate dance and music and also to boost tourism.
