The five-day third national level exhibition-cum-seminar showcasing Odisha’s growth of industries, trade and commerce organized by Utkal Chamber of Commerce and Industries (UCCI) is going to kickstart at the Exhibition Ground here on Sunday.
Focused on the country’s economic growth potential combined with existing and future contributions from the eastern State of Odisha in realizing the potential, this UCCI event will go a long way in addressing the known but untapped possibilities available in the state.
The primary objective behind organizing this mega event is to provide an effective platform to member companies and other corporate entities, banks and other financial institutions, central and state PSUs and other non-government organizations to showcase their products, services, technologies and schemes as well as sharing ideas and innovations, UCCI said.
Policymakers, industrial producers, industrial consumers, large trading houses, multinational corporations, investors, commercial banks and other financial institutions and a host of service providers are going to participate in this focused extravaganza to be organised with the objective of propelling the growth trajectory of the state higher by harmoniously and seamlessly weaving the important sectors in industry, trade and commerce.
The event will make the visitors feel about the focus of UCCI that envisages creating and promoting new entrepreneurs, providing hand-holding support to start-ups, CSR initiatives, development of MSME sector, strengthening rural-urban linkage and improvement in infrastructure.
UCCI, which says it is overwhelmed by the extraordinary response from participants and sponsors, is confident of the takeaways from this annual effort for its members as well as to the expectant entrepreneurs from the state’s realms of industry, trade and commerce.
Established in January, 1964, UCCI has broadened its focus to empower and enrich the cause of industrial and commercial enterprises of the state through participation with the Government and other trade bodies in formulating policies and taking care of their interests.
Union Minister for Petroleum Dharmendra Pradhan is set to inaugurate the event in the precincts of IDCO Exhibition Ground. Pradeep Kumar Panigrahy, Minister of State, Higher Education, Science & Technology, GC Pati, Chief Secretary, UN Behera, Development Commissioner, Anshuman Das, CMD, NALCO, Vishal Dev, CMD, IDCO and Rajiv Kumar, Vice President Operation – KPO, Tata Steel will be among the dignitaries likely to grace the occasion as guests.
Jual Oram, Union Minister for Tribal Affairs will be the chief guest of the Valedictory Ceremony. Steel and Mines minister Prafulla Kumar Mallik, Panchanan Dash, ISS, Secretary, MSME and Dr. Anoop Kumar Mittal, Chairman-cum-Managing Director, NBCC will also be present at the valedictory function.
