Cuttack-A and Bhubaneswar-B were in leading position in their respective matches on the second day of quarter finals of Inter-district under-19 cricket tournament.
In one of the quarter finals played between Rourkela and Cuttack-A at Barabati Ground, Cuttack-A scored 150 runs in reply to Rourkela’s first innings score of 119. Sunil Raula was the top scorer for Cuttack-A with 52 runs.
In the second innings, Rourkela were at 125 runs in loss of 2 wickets. In another match between Balangir and Bhubaneswar-B played at Nimpur Ground, the latter posted 494 runs. Suryakanta Samal (52) and Hitesh Nayak (53) were the major contributors for Bhubaneswar-B with bat.
In reply, Balangir scored 177 runs. Jajpur made 184 runs for loss of 6 wickets in reply to Cuttack-B’s 242 runs in a match played at Ravenshaw Ground in Cuttack. Subrajit Singh played an outstanding knock of 90 runs for Jajpur. Balasore took on Sundergarh in another match played at SCB Ground in Balasore. Batting first, Balasore scored 210 runs, with major contribution coming from Ronald Das (50).
In reply, Sundergarh were 206 runs in loss of 6 wickets. Suraj Singh and Sarat Minj made 90 and 55 runs respectively for Sundergarh.
