In order to speed up the trial of cases, two courts of the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) were inaugurated in the premises of the District and Sessions Court here on Monday. The number of CBI courts has now risen to four, said official sources. The 250 pending cases can be disposed of expeditiously after the two new courst start functioning, they said.
One court was inaugurated by district judge Bijay Chandra Rath while the second one was inaugurated by CBI special judge Manoj Kumar Panda.
Rs 2.62 crore has been spent on the construction of the courts.
