At least two persons were killed and 30 others injured, 13 of them seriously when a pick-up van in which they were travelling, overturned at Bhikhampalli on National Highway-49 in Odisha on Tuesday night.
According to reports, a 30-member bridegroom party was on the way from Luing village of Raigarh district in Chhattisgarh to Duanaguda village of Samarbaga panchayat under Lakhanpur block in Jharsuguda district when the driver lost control of the vehicle.
The incident took place at about 8.30 pm, reports said.
While two persons died on the spot, 13 others were seriously injured.
Following information, two police teams from Rengali and Belpahar police stations rushed to the spot and admitted the injured at the Jahangir Gandhi Hospital at Belpahar and sent the bodies of the deceased, identified as Alok Satnami (15) and Dinesh Sarathi (20), for post mortem.
