A three-member team of Bihar police, all of sub-inspector rank, had camped in Hotel Payal at Old Station Bazaar here for the last one week to trace the hard-core criminals identified as Abhay Saha and Manjeet Saha, aged between 40-45 years-old and hailing from Samastipur in Bihar.

Police sources said the duo had been involved in as many as 41 cases – 36 cases, including six murder cases, pending against Abhay and nine cases, including three murder cases, pending against Manjeet  in different police stations of Bihar.

Besidesmurder, the accused were also involved in dacoity, bombing, kidnapping, burglary and loot cases.

After committing all these crimes in Bihar, the two accused had fled Bihar and came to Bhubaneswar in an effort to avoid arrest after NBWs were issued against them. They had undergone a complete makeover, donning the garb of sadhus in an Ashram located at Balakati under Balianta Police station here to stay unidentified.

Later, they served as drivers of Ashram-run autos at Station Bazaar here to carry commuters between the Ashram and the railway Station.

Bihar police arrested the accused today while they were on their work and took them to their state on transit remand after producing them in a local court.
