Bhubaneswar, Aug 9
Governor SC Jamir will inaugurate the two-day All India Chartered Accountants (CA) Conference-2013 in the city here beginning on Friday.
The conference, being organized by the Eastern India Regional Council (EIRC) of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) Bhubaneswar branch, will deliberate on the theme ‘Trust Truth and Transparency’.
The conference will have eight technical sessions on contemporary topics which include transition to direct tax, GST, regulatory arbitrage on deposit acceptance, regulatory changes affecting the CA profession under the new Companies Bill and cloud computing.
The sessions will be conducted by eminent chartered accountants, including Amarjit Chopra, Girish Ahuja, V Raghuraman, R Vittal Raj, AP Singh, former president ICAI Sanjiv Singhal and senior Supreme Court advocate AK Ganguli.
Commissioner, Income Tax, Bhubaneswar, SK Srivastav and Nalco CMD Ansuman Das will be the guests of honour.
Over 1000 delegates from all over the country including corporate delegates from government and private companies, banking and insurance companies and government department officials will attend the conference.
