Two abducted minor boys escape, rescued by cops in Odisha

Balangir: Two minor boys allegedly abducted by miscreants managed to flee from the place where they were kept and they were rescued by police here today.

The brave boys were identified as Abhishek and his cousin Jinu Meher from Sonepur district.

The incident was reported from a stadium at Nuapada in Sonepur district where two minors were allegedly kidnapped while playing and they became unconscious.

According to reports, Abhishek found himself in an abandoned house and his hands were tied up with rope after he was kidnapped by some miscreants. He also found his cousin was lying inside a gunny bag in the same house. However, nobody was present inside the house. Taking opportunity, Abhishek and Jinu managed to flee from the area.

The victims were rescued by Balangir Town police near Bikram Chhak after they escaped from the clutches of the kidnappers.

Later, police handed over the boys to their parents.
