Bhubaneswar: In a bizarre incident, a railway platform ticket of Balasore railway station in Odisha was reportedly found partly printed in Bengali language.
A person namely Rakesh Mishra, who apparently purchased the ticket, took its photo and posted it on Twitter drawing attention of the Odisha Chief Minister’s Office (CMO).
In reply, the CMO thanked him for the tweet and informed that the same has been forwarded to Commerce & Transport department of Odisha for further follow-up.
Later, the Commerce & Transport department replied that it is not as per norm and Odia language should take priority in Odisha. It further informed that the matter has been raised with Ministry of Railways for rectification.
