Odisha School and Mass Education minister Debi Prasad Mishra has directed the concerned authorities to ensure textbooks reach the hands of the school students at the outset of the new academic session starting from June next.
Presiding over a high-level review meeting at the State Secretariat last evening, Mishra asked the officials to take adequate steps for infrastructure development in all primary and upper primary schools along with early repair of school toilets, appointment of Block Education Officers by June and filling up of vacant posts in the department.
Mishra also underscored the need for imparting quality education to the children at the primary and upper primary levels.
