Bhubaneswar: As many as 15 fresh cases of swine flu were detected on Tuesday taking the total number of persons affected with the viral infection to 155 in Odisha so far this year.
A total of 30 samples from different hospitals were sent to the Regional Medical Research Centre (RMRC) today. Of them, 15 tested positive for H1N1 virus.
So far, 460 swab samples have been tested and of these, 155 tuned positive for the influenza.
Notably, nine persons have already died due to swine flu in the state.
No death due to swine flu was reported by the filing of this report today.
On the other hand, the State Government has assured people by saying not to panic as the Health Department is taking all possible measures to tackle the menace.
