Cuttack: A team of National Investigation Agency (NIA) today reportedly detained a person after raiding a rented house at Samantarapur village in Kishan Nagar area of Odisha’s Cuttack over suspected terror activity links.
The detainee was identified as Akhtar Hussain Khan. According to reports, the raid was conducted by a six-member team of NIA from Kolkata at around 4 am following which Khan was questioned by the officials for about four hours.
He was staying in the area for the last 1.5 year, reports added.
“There might be some intelligence inputs with the NIA team. They proceeded to Kishan Nagar and looked for the residence of one Akhtar (55-year-old). He is a native of Nemal in Cuttack and currently residing at a rented house in Kishan Nagar. He reportedly stayed for many years in Saudi Arabia. The NIA team conducted enquiry at his house.
