Cuttack, Mar 2:
Three days after misbehaving with reporters while being taken to his CDA office by the cops; Sushil Dhalasamanta, the younger one of Odisha’s gangster D-brothers today apologised to media.
“I am sorry for my behaviour that day,” said Sushil while being taken to Cuttack Sub-divisional Judicial Magistrate (SDJM) Court this morning.
While Sushil is being produced in the court for forging documents among others, older sibling Sushant Dhalasamanta is being produced for evading warrants, as per a police source.
The Commissionerate Police also seeks the court’s permission to shift the brothers to different jails on security grounds. While both have been stationed at the Choudwar jail, one of them is likely to be sent to Bolangir jail and the other to Jajpur, as per the source.
Notably, neither of the 54 CCTVs or the jammers installed at the jail work. Besides, even though it stations many notorious criminals convicted and under trial for violent crimes, it is severely understaffed. There are only 57 staff members for over 1200 inmates.
