It was not a race but it was the most glamorous car rally by the women and for the women to celebrate International Women’s Day . The first of its kind in the capital city with the theme of ‘pledge for parity’, it was a sight for sore eyes to see enthusiastic ladies decked up thematically and ready to roar in their decked up four wheeler.
Bijaya Bhat with the theme, Corporate Woman, bagged the first prize with a cash award of Rs 10,000, while the second prize went to Banasmita Das who sported the theme , Woman Education is women’s empowerment, and bagged a cash prize of Rs 6000, while the third winner Prachi Agarwal Mahajan with the Bold is Beautiful theme, won a cash prize of Rs 4000.
More than 150 thematically designed cars were flagged off from KIIT Stadium after an on-venue registration, driving demonstration at Jyote Motor’s ‘Anybody Can Drive’ track & car evaluation session, in the first ever women’s car rally of Bhubaneswar.
