Odisha eves maintained their winning streak thrashing Karnataka by 8-0 goals in the 20th Senior Women’s National Football Championship-2014 at Golaghat in Assam this afternoon.
Odisha took control of the game right from the start with three goals in quick succession in the first half.
Menaka Mallik opened the account in the 7th minute while Sinulata Sahoo made it 2-0 in 17th minute. Six minutes later, Sakina Nisha scored the third goal.
In the second half, Odisha ran through the defence of their opponents as they scored five goals in 37 minutes.While Subha Prava Rout scored the fourth goal in the 53rd minute, Menaka Mallik made it 5-0 in the 63rd minute.
Two minutes later, Arati Anima Khadia scored the sixth goal while Subhaprava Rout and Pyari Xaxa scored the seventh and eighth goal in the 82nd and 90th minute respectively.
It was the hat-trick win for Odisha as the state team in their two earlier matches had defeated Mizoram and Haryana.
In their next match, Odisha will meet Gujarat on Sunday.
