The Odisha eves, who had stormed into the semi-final in the 20th Senior Women’s National Football Championship on April 4 by virtue of their overall points tally, ended their last league match with a win over Goa by 3-0 goals this afternoon.
The state team would meet Jharkhand in the semi-final on May 11.
In the first half, Odisha scored two goals. While Subhaprava Rout scored the first goal through a penalty kick in the 7th minute, Menaka Mallick scored the second goal in the 31st minute.
In the second half, Pyari Xaxa made it 3-0 in favour of Odisha in the 56th minute.
This was the fifth straight win for Odisha. Earlier, they had defeated Mizoram, Haryana, Karnataka and Gujarat.
