Snake rescued from women’s hostel in Odisha capital


Bhubaneswar: The inmates were panicked after a snake was spotted in a women’s hostel here today.

The 5-ft long snake was rescued by help of snake helpline member from the hostel room located in Bomikhal area.

The species of the snake is yet to identified.

According to reports, the snake was spotted by a hostel inmate identified as Jyoti while she was cleaning her room this morning. She was frightened to see the big reptile under her bed.

Soon after she informed about the snake found in her room to other girls, they started running inside the hostel.

The hostel owner immediately contacted the snake helpline. The snake helpline member Basant reached the spot without making delay and rescued the snake from the room.
