On March 13, Odisha can look forward to a little relief from the heat as thunder showers are expected in some parts of the state, according to the Indian meteorological department.
The heat wave like conditions have returned to parts of Odisha since yesterday. This might worsen with a rise of three to four degree Celsius by March 12, according to the MeT department.
Yesterday, Bhawanipatna touched 37.5 degrees, while Bhubaneswar and Bolangir measured 37 degrees.
This is two degrees above the normal temperature. The residents of Bhubaneswar are in for a worse ordeal as the temperatures are expected to further rise to 38 to 39 degrees on March 10 and 11.
On March 13, thundershowers are predicted in Northern parts of the state, bringing down the temperature.
Meanwhile, the temperature is hovering at 34 to 35 degrees Celsius in various parts of the state.
