Bolangir, July 10:
At least seven persons, including four children and two women, sustained critical burn injuries this morning after a cooking gas cylinder burst and caught fire in Laxminagar locality of Bolangir in western Odisha .
All the injured were admitted to the district headquarters hospital here. While doctors attending on them said that six of the injured have 40% burns, the condition of one of the children was critical.
Three children were shifted to VIMSAR, Burla later in the day.
Others may also require shifting depending on their condition, attending doctors at the district headquarters hospital said.
Since all the injured are unable to speak, the exact cause of the mishap is not known.
Reports said the accident occurred while food was being cooked in the house.
